Using a Vape: Comfort, Batteries, and When a Cart Is Empty
A vape heats oil until it gives off vapor. This page covers a comfortable draw, the battery, and how to tell when a cartridge is empty.
A comfortable draw
Draw slowly and gently rather than hard, and keep each draw short: the longer the button is held, the longer the coil heats, and the harsher the vapor. If your battery has heat settings, a lower one is usually smoother. Pause between draws.
Batteries
Charge a new battery fully before its first use.
A cartridge screws onto its battery, and a pod clicks into its own. Hand-tight is enough for a cartridge; forcing it can damage the connection.
When it is empty
Most cartridges let you see the oil level. When the oil runs out, a dry coil tastes burnt: that is the signal to stop, not to keep drawing.
Our hardware
Medizin vapes use all-glass and stainless interiors with ceramic coils, chosen to keep terpenes intact and to prevent burning, clogging and flavor distortion. Store a cartridge upright, away from heat and direct sun.
