GG4: What It Is, and What the Lab Finds in Ours
GG4, the strain formerly sold as Gorilla Glue #4, is one of the strains our cultivation team grows indoors, and the Medizin GG4 on our shelf is a live resin badder whose lab panel is led by caryophyllene, at 3.01 percent by weight, far ahead of the other terpenes the panel lists.
What the lab found in ours
Caryophyllene turns up in nearly every lab panel on our shelf, but few carry as much as this one. Our GG4 badder's panel also reports humulene at 0.93 percent, then limonene and bisabolol in a near tie, at 0.53 and 0.52 percent. Limonene is the citrus one, and the largest few terpenes on any panel are the best guide to aroma and flavor.
A badder is a concentrate whipped soft enough to scoop. Our guide to wax and dabs covers how concentrates are used.
How we grow it
Like every strain we grow, GG4 is cultivated indoors under conditions tailored to its needs, in a facility where each room runs its own HVAC, reverse-osmosis water supply and feeding program. We never remediate, never radiate and never alter our flower, and our concentrates are made from the flower we grow.
Is GG4 an indica or a sativa?
Menus sort strains into indica, sativa and hybrid, but those words are a retail convention rather than a measurement, and products sold under one strain name can carry different lab panels. Our own shelf shows it. Beside our badder we carry GG4 from other brands in several forms, and what this page says about how we grow applies to the Medizin line alone.
Most of the GG4 panels on our shelf lead with caryophyllene, as ours does, but the terpene that follows it changes from one product to the next. Of the terpenes our badder's panel lists, humulene comes second, ahead of limonene and bisabolol.
So is GG4 an indica or a sativa? The name alone cannot answer that: one name on our shelf comes with different panels, and the lab results say more than the name does. Our article on strain types explains where the three labels come from.
Finding it on our menu
Search our menu for GG4. Some product names write it GG#4, so try that too.
Ask for the certificate
Every Medizin product undergoes full third-party testing for potency, terpene content, residuals, contaminants and heavy metals, and a certificate of analysis backs every batch. Ask for the one behind our GG4 in store, or call us at 702-248-0346.
